Does this feel familiar?
You’re a woman in midlife who does your best to hold everything together and put on a good show; you’re seen as strong, dependable and present for everyone – your partner, your children, your parents, even, your colleagues and your friends.
But inside, you don’t feel right. You don’t feel right at all. You feel anxious, overwhelmed and ‘lost’. You may feel that you don’t matter and that nothing holds any meaning for you. Perhaps you find yourself thinking:
-
“I don’t know who I am.”
-
‘Something’s missing from my life but I don’t know what.’
-
“I’m tired of being strong all the time.”
-
“I sometimes feel like a mouse – no-one sees or hears me”.
-
“I can’t seem to move on, even though I know I should.”
-
“I don’t trust myself to make good decisions.”
-
“I want to feel connected again — to myself, to others, to something bigger.”
Perhaps you relate to one of the following images:
-
being swept along by a fast, dangerous river
-
floating high above life, disconnected from everything below
-
hiding deep in the forest where no one can find you
It doesn’t have to be this way. The right therapy can support your life to be different.

Is this what you’re looking for?
You probably want the noise and busy thoughts in your head to stop. You want to stop doubting every decision you make; to feel more comfortable in your own skin; to believe in yourself, respect yourself and speak up for yourself. You long to:
-
Feel grounded and stable – amidst the busyness of life
-
have relationships that feel meaningful and fulfilling
Say no without guilt and defend your energy without fear of rejection.
-
Know you’re enough — not because of what you achieve or how others see you, but because you finally believe it yourself.
This is the version of you that therapy can help uncover: grounded, confident, connected and alive.
We all hold the potential for change, healing and growth. Sometimes we need a compassionate guide to walk alongside us as we explore what’s troubling us, reconnect with our inner wisdom and find our way towards self-trust and belonging.
Perhaps now is the time. You’re ready to stop struggling alone and find the support that will allow you to flourish and feel alive.
How I can help…
Through gentle exploration, I can help you to:
-
Gain a deeper understanding of who you are and what you want.
-
Discover and give voice to the parts of yourself that have been ignored or silenced.
-
Explore what’s stopping those parts from thriving.
-
Strengthen your ability to trust yourself and the decisions you make.
-
Begin making choices that feel aligned with who you really are.
As an embodied arts therapist, I draw on metaphor, movement and mindfulness to support your exploration. These creative and grounding practices open space for insight, release and meaningful change.
This work is collaborative and holistic. It brings together your body, heart and mind so that you can step out of your head and into a more authentic, grounded way of living.
At Nature’s Embrace, therapy takes place outdoors, where nature itself becomes part of the process. The natural world has a way of settling the nervous system and reminding us that we’re part of something larger.
But this isn’t only about feeling calmer in the moment. Our work together is about helping you carry that calmness, confidence and self-kindness into your everyday life.
In our sessions in private ancient woodland in Uckfield, we’ll slow down, get curious about your behaviour patterns and trace them back to where they began. We’ll develop tools for calming your nervous system and explore the deeper emotional roots — so you’re not just managing symptoms, but changing your relationship with yourself.
What does a session with me look like?
As well as giving you space to talk about your past and present experiences, I may also invite you to use some of the techniques and tools below:
🌿slowing down and using the senses to notice the external environment
🌿inviting in breathwork, mindfulness and movement practices
🌿somatic sensing (i.e. what sensations do you notice in your body?)
🌿working with story and image cards
🌿finding images and metaphors in the natural environment to express and explore your lived experiences
🌿creating artwork – using objects, art/craft materials – to deepen your exploration
🌿developing simple rituals to mark or celebrate transitions and other processes
You don’t need any experience of working in this way. It’s important for me that you always feel honoured, respected and in control. So if something doesn’t work for you, that’s OK. We move on and find something that does.
Next steps
If you want life to feel different, let’s talk. I offer a free initial 20 minute conversation. This allows us to talk about what’s going on for you, what you’re hoping for and whether we feel like a good fit.
